Canterbury Cathedral Lodge provided the perfect venue for the launch of our inaugural Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Masterclass.
Delegates came from across Kent, Surrey, and Medway representing both primary and secondary care. It is recognised nationally that a multi-professional workforce is key in the successful delivery of SDEC. This was represented by our delegates whom came from a variety of professional backgrounds including GP’s, registrars, consultants, and advanced practitioners. Our expert panel of speakers delivered a variety of interactive sessions and the Q&A session at the end of each day allowed for the delegates to quiz the panel asking questions about their management of patients so improving their clinical decision making. The aim of our events is not just to provide an educational forum but to translate theory into practice so improving clinical practice and decision making, which ultimately benefits patient care. Feedback from the event supported this vision: 'The case scenarios given by the speakers is very useful for learning and connecting theory’ ‘Could have a done a whole day on each session as speaker knowledge of such high level’ ‘Overall – an excellent two days that has changed my practice. Thank you’ ‘Well done on your 1st masterclass, well designed and I would highly recommend to others. Please can you keep us up to date for future courses/masterclasses’ ‘Thank you for a fab course will be recommending’ ‘Dr Lobo’s presentation on syncope was very informative and helpful for decision making’ ‘Really enjoyed the clinical sessions. All were extremely informative and clinically interesting’ The next SDEC masterclass will be held in September 2022, dates, and venue to be confirmed.
