Ian Setchfield.
Ian Setchfield, BSc, PG Cert, MSc, is an Acute Care Consultant Nurse and visiting senior lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University with expertise in acute medicine, clinical leadership, advanced clinical practice, and critical care.
His specialist interest is same day emergency care, clinical leadership and workforce development, specifically advanced practice, ensuring a ‘whole system approach’ is utilised to provide patient-centred pathways.
Ian is an accomplished national/international speaker and has worked with Health Education England’s Centre for Advancing Practice, most recently releasing a Continuing Professional Development publication for advance practitioners. Nationally he has also been the nurse representative for The Society for Acute Medicine, Deputy Chair of the RCN Professional Nursing Committee and has contributed to several national standards including NICE.
